Josh Welch grew up in central Texas and is now the owner of Weltex Investments. He has been in the land development and real estate business in Central Texas for over 10 years. He has experience working with residential and commercial investment properties as well as the entire land development processes to include land acquisitions, project entitlements, project management, and the lease or sale of property.
He has worked to acquire, develop, or manage single-family development projects that cumulatively exceeds over 10,000 residential lots, over 190 acres of multifamily property, and over 75 acres of commercial property. Josh is the 2022 Central Texas Homebuilders Association President and will be the 2023 Temple Area Builders Association President. He finished his Master’s of Business and Administration in the spring of 2014 at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor with and emphasis in accounting and completed the practicum titled “Residential Subdivision Development Costs: A Predictive Model”.
His undergraduate years were at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor where he quarterbacked the football team for 4 years, made the Provost Honor Role multiple semesters, served on multiple student leadership committees, and graduated with a Bachelor of Business and Administration degree in accounting.
